Installed Office 2015 on Mac a few days ago. Was working fine then started getting partial search results - almost as if it had stopped indexing new messages. I deleted and recreated the account and it then would not find anything with any search term. I then uninstalled the Outlook altogether, cleared out the profile folders, reinstalled Outlook, and recreated the account. Same result - search just no longer works, even though all of the data is there.
The mailbox itself is fine. Everything works OK though OWA and Outlook 2013 on Windows. And I have another Mac that seems to be indexing and searching fine against the exact same Office 365 mailbox.
From looking at CPU usage in the OS X Activity monitor, when creating a new account, it downloads all of the data for the mailbox, then you can see Outlook working really hard doing something for an hour or so afterwards (I assumed this was rebuilding the search index). After a while a it seems to complete whatever it is doing, the CPU usage drops to almost nothing, but search still does not work.
Running a Macbook Air, i7, 8Gb RAM, 256Gb SSD (with 76Gb free), and Yosemite.
Any help grateful received.
Cheers, Dale
