blank fields in excel actually have value but won't show

I'm using excel in office 365 on a mac using chrome ver 34.0.1847.137 (most up to date).

I uploaded an excel file to office 365, shared it, and for some reason a few columns won't show the value of any of the fields in view mode. when I click edit mode, it is still not there. If i double click on the field it will show the number, but then disappear seconds later.

Any fix to this?
