Embedded Lync Presence Indicator for Office 2011 on Mac

There is a set of browser plugins for the NameCtrl Control http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ms455335(v=office.14).aspx. These plugins allow for the embedding of Lync Presence indicators into any web page. The presence controls are from a Lync 2013 implementation as part of Office365.

I have this working fine with any Windows machine as they are included with Office 2013 as well as the Lync 2013 client. They are found in the NAME.DLL for ActiveX and the NPSPWRAP.DLL for Chrome and Firefox.

However, these plugins do not seem to be a part of Office 2011 on the Mac. Am I missing something in the configuration of this plugin? Or is it just not included? If not, then is this something that might be a part of Office 2014, or an updated version of the Lync client for Mac?
