I have office 365 installed on my macbook pro.
(Running OS 10.9)
Every now and again (3 months) it asks me to log in. This isn't so bad. But it is bad when I'm away from the internet (on a plane, on site) and suddenly I can't do any work. Is this a feature or is it a fault?
It doesn't make me want to buy software from microsoft if it's going to ask me to sign in at random moments. If it gave me a warning ("2 weeks till login expires") then I could make sure I update when I'm next online. But randomly being locked out of the software is not a good feature.
My main question is:
- Is this a feature that isn't going away (If so, I'd like to suggest it's a bad feature and will make me choose another office suite, even if it makes it more awkward to transfer files)?
- Is it a fault? If so how do I fix?
