I keep getting complaints about performance problems with users running Outlook 15.6 (esp. when trying to search their mailboxes). Here is a typical complaint:
“my email is very sluggish, particularly when doing search for emails. When I do the search, it takes a long time to pull up the email, and then when I try to click on the designated email, the computer is “thinking” and I highlight the email, and it keeps on toggling back to the first email on the list, and it’s just a big irritation because it makes something that should be so simple, take a long time.”
One has a larger mailbox (24.3 GB), but the other's (the user above) is only 8.21 GB. Both are on laptops with 8 GB of RAM, running Mac OS X 10.9.5. I can't tell if I haven't seen these problems (I have no problem with searches) because I have a newer, faster machine with more RAM, or because I am able to run later versions of Outlook.
I had been running v15.8.2 (15.9 was prone to crashes for me & the jury's still out on 15.10.0), but since they are still on 10.9, they are unable to update past 15.6.
