Hi Elaine,
Like Kareltjekareltje, since installing Office 2016 on my MacBook Pro Retina running OS X 10.10.2, I noticed my laptop's fan running fast and audibly. Looking at the Activity Monitor utility can see that OneDrive for Business (version 15.3) was taking up 82% of the CPU. Also noticed that each time I start up my computer, the following error dialog with the OneDrive icon appears. "A problem occurred with accessing the Office Document Cache. Do you want to Repair this problem?” If answered Yes, this open the Microsoft Upload Center. Have emptied the Office Document Cache using the Upload Center preferences numerous times. Quitting One Drive for Business will resolve the high CPU usage.
Per your recommendation I did trash the OneDrive for Business application and remove the “/Library/Application Support/OneDriveBusiness/” folder. Restarted my laptop, Reinstalled OneDrive for Business, but the problem has not been resolved and remains the same.
Thanks,
Nicole
