Setting Outlook as default application doesn't stick

Two separate computers, both running OS X 10.10.1, and Outlook 15.3, and on both when I go into make Outlook the default app, I check the box, go to another screen and come back, and it never sticks. It is still unchecked (and not the default)

Any way to fix this?
